Is there a restriction for motor size on Willisburg Lake?
No, there is no restrictions on motor size for boats launched on Willisburg Lake.
Are there any “No Wake Zones” on Willisburg Lake?
Yes, there is a large No Wake Zone located centrally near the boat dock and launch ramp, which is clearly marked by 2 lines of orange buoys (buckets).
Is bank fishing permitted?
Yes, from the right side of the launch ramps, along the road frontage, to the wooded point.
Is night fishing permitted?
Yes, if launching your vessel after hours, please use the night drop box for launch fee payment.
Are swimming or water sports permitted?
No, we do not permit swimming, water skiing, tubing, etc. All vessel occupants should remain on the vessel when not docked.
Can live bait be brought in, if it is not purchased from the onsite bait shop?
No live shad may be brought into the lake for any purpose. Additionally, please check your boat for zebra mussels.
Are jugging, limb lines, or trot lines permitted?
No, these are not permitted.
What are the size limits for fish caught on Willisburg Lake?
All fish caught on Willisburg Lake should meet Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife legal requirements.

What kind of amenities are available for tent camping?
Tent Camping is “primitive,” port-a-potty and outhouse are available for restroom use. Fresh water is available at the parking area near the bait shop. No electricity is available for tent campers.
Do you accept Credit Cards?
No, at this time, we only accept cash or local checks with valid KY ID.
Do you sell KY Fishing Licenses?
No, at this time, we are unable to sell Kentucky Fishing Licenses.
Can fuel be purchased at Willisburg Lake?
No, we do not have fuel pumps available for fuel sales at the lake.
Can we bring firewood for camping?
No, firewood brought from outside of Washington County, KY is not permitted. Firewood is available.
Are pets permitted?
All pets must be on a leash if not contained in your vehicle or RV. All pet waste must be cleaned up after. Pets may not be left unattended. Pets may not show signs of aggression in any form.
If I buy minnows or crickets, what are they put in?
Please provide your own container for any minnow or cricket purchases. Containers are available for purchase in the Bait Shop.
